HGV Mechanic

Annual Salary: £38,000 to £50,000 DOE

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that the vehicles are in optimal condition for sale, diagnosing and repairing any faults, and conducting thorough inspections to meet their quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicles for sale by conducting thorough inspections and ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Diagnose faults with vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair vehicles efficiently and effectively, addressing any mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience required:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of vehicle systems, particularly HGVs.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to find effective solutions to mechanical problems.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision to ensure the quality of repairs.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver's license.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in vehicle mechanics.
• Previous experience working as an HGV mechanic or similar role is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
• Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
