Job Description

We are recruiting a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) for a well-established and growing practice based in Brierley Hill, seeking a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) to join our team. 

You'll be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have solid practice experience and be confident dealing with owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors.

The main duties will be:
  •  Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met.
  •  Prepare and review year-end statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
  •  Complete corporation tax computations and liaise with HMRC as needed.
  •  Assist with VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts (where applicable).
  •  Provide business and tax advice to clients, including proactive planning.
  •  Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing work and supporting development.
  •  Liaise with clients on a regular basis, building long-term relationships.
  •  Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

Requirements:
  •  ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  •  A minimum of 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
  •  Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax legislation.
  •  Experience with cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)."
  •  Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  •  Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
