Technical Support Advisor

Our client is looking for a proactive customer focused individual, who has a natural interest in technology and electronics – who would like to develop a career within the electrical manufacture industry.

The Technical Support role will be to provide general support as part of the UK Technical Support team and provide product related support to our Internal and External Sales teams and that of our client’s customers.
As many customers are introducing new products into their portfolio for the first time a clear, patient , understanding approach from the technical support department is vital to their growth .
In addition to offering customer support the technical department also plays a major role in the company's product development program and quality control procedures.

Key Tasks of the Technical Support role
• Respond to customer inquiries, primarily via telephone and e-mail
• Resolve customer technical issues through diligent research, reproduction, and troubleshooting
• Communicate with peers and other colleagues via e-mail, chat, telephone, and in person
• Possess competent computer skills including email and Microsoft Office.
• Document all technical inquiries, and develop and review content for knowledge base articles
• Assist with testing of internal products
• Work with the Area Sales Managers to address specific issues with customers
• To ensure that all duties are carried out in line with the Company Health and Safety policy as well as any other Company requirements.
• Undertake any other tasks deemed to be necessary to the efficiency and productivity of the Technical Team.

Technical Support key skills
• Previous electrical or technical experience perhaps you have worked in 1st line support role or you are a tech savvy individual who builds computers at home.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and spoken communication skills.
• An organized and structured working style.
• Positive, customer-focused, service-oriented personality.
• Excellent PC literacy (MS Office packages).
• Excellent at managing clients and client expectations
• Proactive in approach and ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work as part of a team
