Operations Co-Ordinator Location: On-site - Redditch
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm / Friday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
The Opportunity A family-owned business based in Redditch is seeking an Operations Co-Ordinator
to join their close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term progression within a growing business, where hard work, flexibility, and a proactive approach are genuinely recognised and rewarded.
The successful candidate will work closely with and report directly to the Managing Director, gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of the business. The role is varied and hands-on, supporting customers from initial enquiry through to after-sales support, while also assisting with wider operational and administrative tasks.
This position would suit someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, getting involved, and developing their skills within a small team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers via email and telephone regarding products, orders, and service requirements
- Accurately process customer orders and generate relevant sales and operational documentation
- Prepare quotations and follow up with customers as required
- Advise customers on products and accessories, guiding them towards the most suitable solutions
- Liaise with couriers and customers to ensure smooth deliveries and a positive customer experience
- Investigate and resolve issues relating to delayed, lost, or missing parcels
- Manage customer queries and complaints in a professional and solution-focused manner
- Support day-to-day operational tasks across the business as required, including learning practical elements of the role
- Work collaboratively across the team to support shared business objectives
Skills & ExperienceEssential- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure
- Confident using computer systems and office-based software
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
Desirable- Experience in customer service, sales administration, or a retail/trade environment
- Background within electrical wholesale, or a technical product-based business
- Experience preparing quotations and processing orders
- An interest in electronics
