Deputy Head (Reporting & Finance)
Salary: £45,000 - £56,000 DOE

The Opportunity
You will be a key factor in a grand scheme to truly transform people’s lives in a place where no two days are the same. This role provides a chance to work at a senior level, ensuring a well-established educational offering remains financially stable. You’ll have the ability to construct quality decisions and ensure long-term improvements for the company. Essentially, you’ll be taking a leadership position working closely with the Finance and Procurement team where you will have vital oversight of key financial happenings across the institution.
 
The Role
With a focus on strategy, you’ll guide and develop a service dedicated to financial reporting and compliance, who are a key part in ensuring data integrity of finance systems and compliance with both internal and external policies.
Using your financial experience, you will:
  • Provide expert advice of transactions
  • Contribute to the forecasting and treasury management
  • Support a wide range of people across the whole establishment where specialist financial input is needed
  • Prepare year end accounts and the accompanying external audit process
 
The Ideal Candidate
It goes without saying that you will have excellent communication skills and a high level of technical knowledge within this field. You will be an experienced accountant, who has proven experience of leadership in a financial accounting function and the ability to handle strategic development of financial services across a large company.
Further to the above you will:
  • Have experience providing quality customer service, putting others first to find a suitable solution
  • Be commercially focused in order to seek positive business opportunities
  • Use a collaborative approach to working with others, and form good working relationships
  • Have a holistic mindset when looking at working models, understanding the effect individuals have on the larger company
  • Have excellent time-management skills with the ability to deliver impressive results efficiently
