As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be joining a leading civil and structural engineering firm in Leeds. You will play a key role in delivering exciting infrastructure projects from concept to construction, using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Working in partnership with large well-known companies, the company are known for consistently delivering exceptional civil and structural engineering services. Due to expansion of the company, they are now seeking an Infrastructure Technician to grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare plans and technical drawings for all stages of the project lifecycle, including concept design, detailed design, and construction.
  • Produce design drawings to support technical approvals and guide construction, ensuring they meet all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Undertake infrastructure design using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D, with a focus on accuracy, quality, and industry best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams, contributing technical expertise throughout the project delivery process.
 
What are we looking for:
  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and contribute to the successful delivery of projects from initial concept through to final completion, working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment.
  • Solid technical knowledge with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and WinDes (MicroDrainage), with practical experience in the design of drainage systems. A sound understanding of flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and the preparation of Section 104 adoption agreements is essential.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is highly desirable, particularly in relation to earthworks modelling and highway design. Familiarity with the preparation of Section 38 and Section 278 agreements would be considered a distinct advantage.
