Location: Leicester
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Break: 1-hour lunch break, including 30 minutes paid
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

About the RoleWe are currently looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Operative to join our team in Leicester.

We’re looking for someone with previous maintenance experience who is confident carrying out general repairs, upkeep, and maintenance tasks across a range of areas.

A background in a particular trade is not essential — we are open to candidates with experience in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, decorating, building maintenance, or other relevant trades. Multi-skilled experience would be a strong advantage.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent, with training and development provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs
  
  
• Respond to day-to-day maintenance requirements
  
  
• Identify and report any defects or issues
  
  
• Complete basic repairs across various trades
  
  
• Assist with plumbing, carpentry, decorating and other maintenance tasks
  
  
• Ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard
  
  
• Follow relevant health & safety and compliance procedures
  
  
• Keep maintenance areas clean, safe and organised
  
  
• Work as part of a team while also being able to work independently
  
  

About You
We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous maintenance experience
  
  
• Is practical, hands-on and able to use common tools
  
  
• Has experience in one or more trades
  
  
• Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
  
  
• Takes pride in completing work to a good standard
  
  
• Has a good understanding of health & safety
  
  
• Can work independently and as part of a team
  
  
• Is willing to learn and develop their skills
  
  

Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, decorating or other trade experience is a bonus but not essential.
