Machine Operator Trainee4-on, 4-off rotating shift
Job PurposeThe purpose of the role is to operate Conversion machines in a factory to produce quality products in the most efficient and safe manner.
Main ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation and Quality Control:- Operate the machine according to the appropriate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and your level of competency/training.
- Produce accurate work with a strong attention to detail.
- Ensure quality control is maintained throughout the shift.
- Take samples and correctly fill out all Quality Control (QC) paperwork.
Production and Material Handling:- Label, wrap, and strap pallets, ensuring the labeling is clear and matches the specified sheet.
- Minimize scrap and make every effort to avoid unnecessary waste.
- Transfer scrap to the designated bailer and empty it when needed.
- Move finished products and place them in the designated space.
- Correctly and accurately fill out all production sheets.
- Achieve the daily production targets set by management.
Workplace Standards and Safety:- Report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Participate in and ensure a smooth handover between shifts.
- Ensure the Conversion area is tidy and maintained professionally, following the highest BRCGS standards.
- Follow and comply with all company, Health & Safety, HR, and factory policies and procedures.
General Duties:- Attend any training provided, whether individual or collective.
- Carry out any other reasonable requests.
