Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment in the local area. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, is physically fit and is looking for a stable Monday to Friday position. Full training will be provided on the processes and equipment required.

The role
As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for:
- Loading and unloading components from industrial furnaces
- Following set processes and timings to ensure components are processed correctly
- Moving components into cooling systems safely and within specified timeframes
- Carrying out hardness checks on finished components
- Checking components for roundness and making adjustments where required
- Assisting with assembly of components between production runs
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
- Supporting the wider production team as required
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering or industrial environment
- Is physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role
- Can safely lift 25kg+
- Is comfortable working in a hot and physically demanding environment
- Has good attention to detail and can follow set processes accurately
- Takes health and safety seriously
- Has a reliable and positive attitude
- Is comfortable working as part of a team
- Previous experience working around machinery or industrial equipment would be advantageous
Working hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:15pm
Friday: 7:30am – 12pm
Pay: £13 per hour
