In this newly created position the Sales Trainer will play a key role in shaping the future learning and development activity within the company in order to increase the overall capability and capacity of my clients sales force

Description

The Sales Trainer will work alongside sales leaders in identifying role requirements, training needs as well as designing, delivering, and evaluating sales training programmes. Additionally, you will offer a training and coaching service to all sales management.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not definitive, as you will be expected to take an active part in any departmental operation when and if requested.

Responsibilities:

" To contribute to the development and implementation of our overall Learning and Development strategy, with a specific focus on development of our sales teams.
" To identify the training and development needs of the sales population through job analysis, performance and talent reviews, and regular consultation with sales leaders.
" To implement a programme to develop local sales leadership and management capabilities, ensuring that line managers have the required behaviours, knowledge and skills to develop talent.
" To design and develop training and development programmes for all level of sales focused team members, based on both the organisations and the individual's needs.
" To use blendered learning solutions and modern techniques to produce training and Learning interventions.
" To deliver and facilitate internal training and development programmes.
" To deliver ad hoc projects and training packages when required.
" To evaluate the success of individual training and the overall programme.
" To amend and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment.

Profile

The successful candidate will:
" Ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent
" Ideally have relevant L&D training qualification
" It is essential you have proven L&D training experience
" Has developed and implemented sales development strategies to provide ongoing improvements
" Has identified training needs
" Experienced in implementing sales skill based training programme
" Can demonstrates an understanding of L&D best practice and a wide range of development methodologies
" Has devised and carried out effective coaching sessions
" Have strong IT skills to be able to design and develop in house training material
" Is committed and leads by example in regards to attitude and work ethic
" Proven influencing skills at a senior level, line manager and employee levels
" Proven influencing skills at a senior level, line manager and employee levels
" Able to use their own initiative in identifying areas for improvement and implementing practical solutions
" Demonstrates leadership and motivational skills
" Has strong administration and organisation skills
" Experience of Reviewing/Preparing/designing training and support materials
" You will have previous experience managing a sales team
" Previous experience being a area sales manager, client focused
