PURPOSE OF JOB ROLE
To pursue and pro-actively manage a customer portfolio. Achieve Departmental and Business objectives. Reduce the number of accounts that are past due and minimising the risk of bad debt
Role Responsibilities
The Credit Controller will be responsible for -
• Management of a portfolio of customers
• Cash collection of all past due debt
• Production of reports relating to customer portfolio
• Adhere to and make recommendations for collection processes
• Resolution of both invoices and credits on customer accounts
• Responsibility in resolving solutions to root causes and to mediate
• Investigate and resolve issues raised by internal/external parties
• Accurate records of communication by internal/external parties
• Ensure internal/external customers receive excellent customer service
• Take full ownership of any transaction on customer portfolio
• Liaising with Team Leader to propose potential write off of uncollectable debt where appropriate
• Working cross functionally in order to effectively resolve customer queries and improve cash collection

General Responsibilities
• Ensure the Company standards for delivering a distinctive Customer Experience are at the forefront of all business interactions
• Ensure contact details on finance system are reviewed regularly
• Participate in any implementation of change processes
• Excellent telephone communication
• Ensure internal/external customers receive excellent customer service at all times
• Take on any Ad Hoc duties and/or any reasonable management request
• Ensure departmental/company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
• Flexibility with working hours and place of employment

Role Requirements
Experience and Knowledge:
• Experience of credit control collection of debt
• Worked within a Team environment
• Knowledge of credit control functions
• Confident in decision making
• Ability to hit targets and work in a fast pace environment
