Drivers Mate (Removals)
Location: Sheffield
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay: £13.50 per hour DOE (Approx. £28,000 per annum)
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Drivers Mate to join a professional removals team in Sheffield. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, delivering excellent customer service, and working as part of a supportive team.

Duties

• Loading and unloading vehicles and storage containers.
• Handling customers' belongings with care and professionalism.
• Assisting with home and commercial removals.
• Occasionally driving a company van when required.
• Following company procedures and Health & Safety guidelines.
• Delivering a high standard of customer service at all times.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (essential), as you may occasionally be required to drive a company van.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Positive attitude with a strong team-player mentality.
• Previous removals or logistics experience is desirable but not essential.

Hours & Benefits

• 40 hours per week, typically 07:30–16:30 (1-hour lunch).
• 5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday rota.
• Rotas generally provided in advance.
• Weekend working on a rotational basis.
• Overtime paid after 40 hours.
• 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (33 days total).
• Full training provided.
