Material Handler Operator – £14.50 per hour – East Lothian


Hours: 45 per week (full-time, 5 days)
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Location: East Lothian, EH21


We’re looking for a skilled Material Handler Operator to join our recycling operations team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for moving and handling materials safely and efficiently, supporting daily site activities, and helping maintain a high standard of health, safety, and environmental performance.


Key responsibilities:

• Move, load, and organise materials on site using machinery and equipment
• Support and guide colleagues to complete daily tasks
• Ensure safe and efficient working practices at all times
• Help monitor recycling performance and record results
• Follow site rules, procedures, and compliance standards

 

What we’re looking for:

• Experience operating material handling machinery (e.g., loading shovel)
• Teamwork skills with the ability to support and lead when needed
• Good communication and a positive attitude
• Flexibility and reliability in a busy working environment
• Due to location, access to own vehicle would be required
