Contact Centre Assistant
Location: Newport (NP10) – Hybrid (2 days in the office, 3 days from home – currently Thursday & Friday in-office, subject to change)
Salary: £12.60 per hour
Contract: 12 months (365 days) – potential for extension
Start Date: Subject to clearance (SC clearance required)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm (flexibility required)
We’re looking for a customer-focused Contact Centre Assistant to join our clients team in Newport. You’ll be part of a busy, supportive environment, handling calls, live chat, and emails while delivering exceptional service to their clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with great communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
What You’ll Do
- Handle incoming/outgoing calls and live chat within agreed service levels.
- Respond to emails and internal service requests promptly and accurately.
- Use internal systems to resolve or escalate queries as needed.
- Maintain a customer-first approach, ensuring every interaction is professional and helpful.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to positive change.
- Support your team during peak times to ensure targets are met.
- Manage your workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
