Location: Various sites across Carmarthenshire
Start Date: 11/08/2025
End Date: 09/11/2025
Hours: 43 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm)
Pay: £12.84 per hour

About the Role:

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking reliable and hardworking Grounds Operatives to join our team for a seasonal contract. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving public green spaces, parks, highways, and communal areas across the county.

Key Duties:

• Grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general grounds maintenance
• Litter picking, bin emptying, and fly-tip clearance
• Use of handheld tools and powered machinery (e.g. strimmers, mowers, leaf blowers)
• Basic maintenance of equipment
• Ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, in line with Council standards

Requirements:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or similar outdoor work is desirable
• Ability to carry out manual tasks in all weather conditions
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Health and safety awareness
