Our client, a well known Public Sector organisation based in Glasgow, requires a Business Analyst/PMO Analyst on a temporary basis until 31/03/20. The salary for the position is up to £225 per day depending on experience (based on PAYE- role is inside IR35).

Main purpose of role:
We are looking for a Business Analyst/PMO analyst with strong process/value stream mapping skills who is passionate about driving new ways of working. This role sits within the PMO team and will work with the PMO team and partners to improvement process management in PMO.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Process map existing PMO processes
  • Support the design and documentation of business and system processes
  • Communicate key insights and findings to business owners and development team
  • Ensure delivery assurance controls are in place for all work (governance and financial)
  • The department is based across two sites in Edinburgh and Glasgow City Centre, so some travel may be required across sites
Key Skills and Requirements
  • Must be educated to Higher Level
  • Proficient with core MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
  • Proven track record of working business analysis, including requirements gathering and documentation
  • Proven expertise in process mapping/value stream mapping of "as is" business and system processes
  • Experience of running workshops
  • Experience of working with a recognised Agile or iterative development methodologies
  • Experience of variety of requirements elicitation techniques (prototyping workshops, interviews, observation etc)
  • Ability to analyse functional and non-functional requirements
  • Ability to act as a sounding board for customers and provide evidence based and rational recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate with internal and external customers with technical and non-technical backgrounds
  • Experience of working in a geographically distributed delivery team
  • Takes responsibility and accountability for own workload
  • Demonstrable experience of facilitation and influencing skills and ability of working with people at all levels
