Working Hours
  • Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
    • Wednesday: 7:30am – 2:00pm
    • Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm
Our public sector client is seeking reliable and motivated HGV Class 2 Drivers to join their Community Works team in Wick and Thurso on a temporary basis with an immediate start available.
This is a hands-on role involving refuse and recycling collections, working as part of an operational team delivering an essential community service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate refuse and recycling collection vehicles (Class 2) on designated routes
    • Transport and dispose of waste at authorised facilities
    • Provide support and guidance to the crew working from your vehicle
    • Assist with loading refuse and recycling vehicles when required
    • Deliver and collect waste, recycling, and litter bins
    • Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
    • Ensure compliance with all Scottish DVSA regulations and road transport legislation
    • Take responsibility for vehicle-related health and safety, including passengers and crew
    • Carry out additional duties as directed by the Foreperson
What We’re Looking For
  • Valid LGV Class 2 licence (clean licence preferred)
    • Current CPC qualification and Digital Tacho Card
    • Strong understanding of legal responsibilities relating to LGV driving
    • Good communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required
    • Awareness of health and safety within operational or high-risk environments
    • Reliable, flexible, and safety-conscious approach to work
