Role Overview

We’re seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our collaborative team. You’ll be responsible for designing electrical building services systems, ensuring compliance with UK standards, and contributing to energy-efficient, sustainable projects. This role offers the chance to work across a diverse portfolio while developing your expertise in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and fire alarms
• Prepare calculations, specifications, and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
• Collaborate with mechanical and public health engineers to deliver integrated MEP solutions
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to validate designs
• Engage with clients and project teams to provide technical guidance
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671, CIBSE guidance, and other UK regulations
• Support sustainable and energy-efficient design initiatives
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement

Candidate Profile

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical building services design
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience desirable
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles and UK regulations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for sustainable design and innovation
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to high-quality delivery
