About the Role

A forward-thinking building services consultancy based in Plymouth is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team. This role offers the chance to work on sustainable, low‑carbon building projects across sectors including residential, education, commercial, and public buildings.
You’ll be involved in all stages of electrical design—from initial concept to detailed technical delivery—contributing to energy-efficient, environmentally responsible building solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency and fire alarm systems
• Prepare calculations, specifications, and technical drawings using CAD and BIM tools
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and support project delivery
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop integrated building services designs
• Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards and building regulations
• Assist with tender documentation and client liaison

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 2–5 years’ experience in electrical building services design consultancy
• Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation tools
• Strong understanding of BS 7671 wiring regulations and CIBSE guidance
• Passion for sustainable design and low-carbon building solutions
• Excellent communication and team-working skills
• Full UK driving licence preferred
