About the Role We’re looking for a Commissioning Engineer to support the successful delivery of mechanical, electrical, and public health services across vital infrastructure projects. You'll be involved from tender stage through to final handover, ensuring systems are commissioned effectively, safely, and to high standards.
Key Responsibilities- Support design reviews with a focus on commissionability and handover planning.
- Assist in preparing commissioning strategies, procedures, and schedules.
- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients throughout the commissioning lifecycle.
- Review technical documentation and method statements.
- Coordinate and attend site commissioning visits and meetings.
- Support client witnessing, statutory compliance, and documentation collation for O&M manuals.
- Assist in resolving commissioning or snagging issues during the defects liability period.
What We’re Looking For- Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical commissioning.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient with MS Office and project reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel to various sites across the Thames Valley.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong team ethic.
- Relevant qualifications (desirable).
- SMSTS and a valid CSCS card (required).
