experienced Architectural Technician to join its technical team, working primarily on a large scale residential led scheme. The practice has a strong reputation for delivering housing projects from post planning through to construction and offers a collaborative working environment with clear technical leadership.
This role will suit a technically confident technician who enjoys detailed design, coordination, and working closely with both consultant teams and housebuilder partners through the later project stages.
Responsibilities:- Producing and coordinating detailed technical drawings from post planning through to construction
- Preparing general arrangement drawings, detailed plans, elevations, sections and construction details
- Developing and adapting standard house types to suit site-specific constraints and planning requirements
- Preparing and maintaining schedules, including door and structural opening schedules
- Coordinating architectural information with consultants, including structural and civil engineers
- Assisting with compliance against UK Building Regulations and residential warranty requirements
- Responding to technical queries from consultants, clients and site teams
- Attending project and design team meetings as required
- Managing drawing packages and revisions in line with agreed document control procedures
Requirements:- 3–5+ years’ experience within a UK architectural practice in a technical delivery role
- Strong experience delivering residential projects, including multi-unit or volume housing schemes
- Good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and residential construction methods
- Experience coordinating consultant information and responding to technical feedback
- Confident working across multiple plots, house types or packages simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving approach
- High level of proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong technical drawing and detailing ability
- HNC / HND / Degree in Architectural Technology, Construction or a related discipline
- CIAT membership or working towards is desirable but not essential
