About the Role
We are looking for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join a growing building services consultancy. You will support the delivery of mechanical and electrical design and project management services across a variety of building projects, from concept through to completion. This role provides excellent exposure to consultancy work and practical engineering delivery in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with electrical engineering design for building services projects, including lighting, power distribution, earthing & bonding, and compliance with regulations.
- Produce technical calculations, schematic drawings, and specifications using CAD and engineering software.
- Support senior engineers in client meetings, design reviews, and site visits.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, risk assessments, and tender documentation.
- Coordinate with mechanical, public health, and structural engineering colleagues to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Help manage project deliverables to meet programme milestones and quality standards.
- Electrical building services design principles and best practice.
- Project management fundamentals in the construction and engineering industry.
- Compliance with UK standards and regulations, including BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
- Interdisciplinary coordination and client engagement skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong technical foundation in electrical systems and building services.
- Proficiency with technical software (CAD/Revit, electrical calculation tools) is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Enthusiasm to learn, take responsibility, and grow professionally.
- Hands-on experience across a wide range of building services projects.
