An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Architectural Technician or Architect to join a growing and collaborative architectural practice based in Taunton.

Working across a diverse portfolio of education, healthcare and community focused projects, you'll become part of a supportive studio that prides itself on delivering thoughtful, technically robust and sustainable design solutions that make a genuine difference.

This role would suit someone looking to broaden their experience, take ownership of projects and develop their career within a practice that values collaboration, professional development and long term progression.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and technical delivery of projects from concept through to completion
    • Produce planning, Building Regulations and technical drawing packages
    • Work closely with senior team members to coordinate projects across all RIBA stages
    • Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors throughout project delivery
    • Attend project and site meetings where required
    • Ensure projects are delivered in line with current UK Building Regulations and industry standards
    • Assist with design reports, presentations and project documentation
    • Contribute to a collaborative studio environment and support the continued growth of the practice
Requirements
  • Qualified Architect (ARB/RIBA) or Architectural Technician/Technologist
    • Experience working within a UK architectural practice
    • Good understanding of UK Planning, Building Regulations and construction detailing
    • Experience using ArchiCAD would be advantageous, although training can be provided
    • Strong communication and organisational skills
    • Passion for delivering high-quality architecture with excellent attention to detail
    • Previous experience within the education or healthcare sectors would be beneficial, although not essential
