Senior Civil Engineer
Cambridge | Hybrid/Flexible Working
A growing multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy are looking to strengthen their Civil Engineering team with the appointment of a Senior Civil Engineer in their Cambridge office.
With a nationwide presence and a long-established reputation within the built environment sector, the business delivers integrated design and engineering services across a broad range of projects including residential, commercial, education, defence, healthcare, and mixed-use developments. Their civil engineering team works closely alongside structural, architectural, and building consultancy teams, providing engineers with strong multidisciplinary project exposure and involvement across the full project lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking for a varied infrastructure role combining drainage, development infrastructure, external works, highways coordination, and wider civils design within a collaborative consultancy environment.
The role
The successful candidate will support the delivery of a wide range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
Typical responsibilities will include:
• Development infrastructure and civils design
• Building drainage and external works packages
• Highways and infrastructure coordination
• Preparation of technical reports and design information
• Client and stakeholder liaison
• Supporting fee proposals and project delivery
• Coordination with multidisciplinary design teams
• Ensuring projects are delivered to programme and budget
Projects are likely to include:
• Residential developments
• Commercial schemes
• Education projects
• Defence sector developments
• Mixed-use infrastructure schemes
• Civils and external works packages
Requirements
• UK consultancy experience within civil/infrastructure engineering
• Strong understanding of drainage and civils infrastructure design
• Experience across development infrastructure or external works projects
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
• Chartered or working toward chartership preferred
