Class 1 Driver

Pertemps are currently recruiting several Class 1 Drivers (C+E) to work on a regular ongoing basis for our client based in Louth. You will be required carry out trunk runs and deliver goods to distribution centres or carry out trailer swaps in a curtain side vehicle.
 
What will I be expected to do? 

• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport goods and materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Secure cargo using straps, chains, and tarps as needed.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch to receive delivery instructions.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.

What shifts and start times are available?

We have day shifts starting from 05:00 and nights starting from 16:00 onwards.
 
There may also be an option for tramping.
 
How much will I be paid as a HGV Driver? 
 
You will be paid basic hours for the first 50 hrs then will be paid time and one half after this

Days – £13.29ph / Overtime £19.89ph
Nights - £14.59ph - £21.80ph
Night out - £25

Which skills or experience do I need to apply?  

• 2 Years minimum Class 1 experience
• Category C+E (HGV 1) on your licence
• Digital Tachograph card and CPC qualification
• No DR10’s No CD10’s No IN10’s – no more than 6 points
