Job Description
Pertemps Lincoln are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our customer, an established manufacturing business based in Lincoln.
You will be working within a busy manufacturing environment, responsible for maintaining, repairing and fixing production machinery and equipment to help keep the site operating efficiently and minimise downtime.
This is a full-time position offered on a rolling basis, initially for 3 months, with the potential to continue beyond this period.

What will I be paid?
- £24.03 – £26.45 per hour, depending on experience
What hours will I be working?
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 – 16:00
- Full-time hours
- Optional Saturday work available
What will I be doing?
- Carrying out mechanical repairs on production machinery and equipment
- Diagnosing and fixing mechanical faults and breakdowns
- Completing planned and preventative maintenance
- Responding to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Inspecting equipment and identifying potential faults before they cause breakdowns
- Repairing and replacing mechanical components as required
- Supporting the installation, modification and improvement of machinery
- Working closely with production teams to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times
What skills and experience do I need?
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience maintaining and repairing machinery within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Confident diagnosing breakdowns and carrying out repairs
- Experience with planned and preventative maintenance
- Relevant mechanical, electrical or engineering qualification would be advantageous
- Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
- Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of an engineering team
