About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Civil/Structural Engineer to join a well-established and award-winning engineering consultancy in Leeds. This role is ideal for someone with a strong academic background and some industry experience who is keen to grow their career working on a wide range of building and infrastructure projects.

You will be involved in both civil and structural aspects of design, supporting senior engineers while developing your own technical expertise and professional skills. Projects will cover everything from high-profile city centre redevelopments to education and healthcare schemes.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of structural and civil engineering designs and drawings.
• Carry out calculations and design work under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Contribute to design reviews, technical reports, and project coordination.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders as required.
• Ensure work complies with relevant standards, codes, and best practices.

 

About You

We’re looking for a motivated engineer who enjoys problem-solving and working as part of a collaborative team.

Essential experience/skills:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline).
• Some experience in civil/structural design (through work placement, graduate role, or junior role).
• Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or similar.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude to learning.

Desirable experience/skills:

• Knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards.
• Experience with drainage, groundworks, or sustainable design solutions.
• Working towards professional accreditation with ICE or IStructE.
