Class 2 Driver (HGV Class 2)
Location: Midlands Region
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our growing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking regular weekday work with realistic workloads and modern, well-maintained vehicles.

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised goods throughout the Midlands. Routes are carefully planned to ensure a manageable workload, with drivers typically returning to site by approximately 3:00 PM to prepare for the following day's deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver palletised goods across the Midlands region.
  
  
• Complete between 6 and 10 drops per day, depending on route and distance.
  
  
• Operate an 18-tonne vehicle safely and professionally.
  
  
• Side-tip pallet deliveries with occasional rear-door unloading.
  
  
• Ensure all paperwork and delivery documentation is completed accurately.
  
  
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
  
  

What to Expect

• 95% palletised deliveries.
  
  
• Minimal handballing, dependent on individual customer requirements.
  
  
• No long-haul routes or overnight stays.
  
  
• Modern fleet of vehicles, approximately 5 years old and maintained to a high standard.
  
  
• Consistent Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend work required.
  
  

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
  
  
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  
  
• Good understanding of driver regulations and road safety.
  
  
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
  
  
• Previous multidrop delivery experience preferred.
