Location: Avonmouth, BS11 9EB


Pay: £14.00 per hour


Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:15 – 16:00; Friday, 07:15 – 12:00

 

Job Type: Temporary – Ongoing

 

We are looking for a reliable and practical Assembly Operative to join a manufacturing team based in Avonmouth, BS11 9EB.

 
This is a hands-on role working with metal components and carrying out a range of basic manufacturing tasks. Previous experience in production, manufacturing or metalwork would be beneficial.

The Role

The role will involve working with metal parts and completing repetitive manufacturing tasks accurately and safely.

 

Your main duties will include:


  • Loading metal parts into a small manual press

    • Removing rough edges from parts using deburring techniques

    • Marking and identifying parts

    • Reading and understanding engineering drawings to ensure parts are processed and completed to the required specifications

    • Using engineering drawings to identify dimensions, part details and requirements

    • Carrying out other basic hands-on manufacturing duties

    • Working with metal components

    • Completing repetitive tasks accurately and consistently

    • Following instructions and production processes

    • Maintaining a clean and safe working area

About You

The ideal candidate will have:


  • Previous experience in production, manufacturing or machine loading

    • Ideally, some experience working with metal or within a metalwork environment

    • The ability to read and understand engineering drawings

    • A practical and hands-on approach

    • The ability to follow instructions accurately

    • A reliable and sensible attitude

    • The ability to work independently without constant supervision

    • Good attention to detail

    • A good work ethic and willingness to learn

       

Basic manufacturing, production or metalwork experience is ideal, along with the right attitude and ability to work reliably and independently.

 

Candidates must be able to read and understand engineering drawings and use them to ensure components are processed accurately and meet the required specifications.

 

This is a temporary ongoing position offering regular weekday work.
