Adult Social Care Finance
London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham seeks a skilled finance professional for this full-time role in Adult Social Care Finance.
Pay: £22.86 PAYE / £29.08 Umbrella. 36 hours per week, 6-month fixed term; enhanced DBS required.
Key Responsibilities:
Protect vulnerable adults through appointeeship, deputyship, property protection, and council funerals. Manage client finances, reconcile bank accounts per council regulations, claim DWP benefits, and handle property/estate cases including sales and deceased service users' estates.
- Liaise with banks, DWP, solicitors, and professionals like care managers and police.
- Administer bills, petty cash, and assets; investigate finances and retrospective assessments.
- Comply with legislation, Court of Protection directions, and council policies on charging and EDI.
Essential Requirements Finance background essential, with experience in adult social care charging, vulnerable clients, and complex financial data. A-Level equivalent Maths/English; proficient in MS Word, Excel, databases.
- Excellent communication for sensitive interviews and case conferences.
- Initiative, prioritisation under pressure, and customer care/confidentiality focus.
- Agile working awareness; commitment to health/safety, data management, and climate emergency alignment.
