We have a new opening for a
Business Development Manager working for one of the UK’s most successful retail firms based in Brentford, west London. The role involves increasing revenue for the business, with two team members reporting to the Senior BDM Manager.
The ideal candidate will be given a small portfolio to start but will be expected to actively go out and hunt for new business opportunities. Our client are looking for a driven, hungry salesperson who thinks outside the box and can bring fresh ideas to the table.
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 plus 10% to 15% annual bonus Location: Brentford, west London Fully office based role (no remote working), full time, permanent – 9:00am to 5:30pm Must have own car and full driving licence Duties:
- Identify and manage both our existing sales pipeline and the development of new business opportunities.
- Design and implement new marketing and sales business proposals that create opportunities.
- Identify trends and customer needs and respond effectively to the needs of each customer.
- Work with the stores and call centre to maximise business opportunities from inbound enquiries.
- Create and continuously develop a list of potential Regional National Accounts from own market research and available databases.
- Account management of Key national accounts ensuring customer satisfaction through regular engagements on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
- Develop Chamber of Commerce relationships.
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers, and meet regularly with managers and stakeholders to discuss strategy
- Liaison with regional and area managers on any issues and sales opportunities.
Applicants must have:
- B2B and B2C sales and business development experience preferably in a multi-site retail environment.
- An excellent flair and experience in new business development and building up, managing and nurturing a solid list of contacts to maximise sales opportunities for the stores.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in sales techniques.
- Strong level of planning, prioritising and diary management.
- Previous experience of working both autonomously and as part of a wider team.
- Be naturally target driven and always exploring every possible opportunity.
- Identify and leverage trends within different industries.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical skills with a proactive mind-set
- Have a full driving licence and own transport.
