Job Description
Red Personnel is partnering with a local council to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager for a high-profile refurbishment scheme in London. This is a 6-9 month contract position offering a competitive day rate of £450-550, with a flexible hybrid working model (3 days onsite).
The Role:
As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex refurbishment project, ensuring quality, budget and programme adherence. Your responsibilities will include:✔ Full project lifecycle management – from planning through to practical completion
✔ Onsite leadership – hands-on supervision of contractors and suppliers (majority field-based work)
✔ Technical oversight – bringing your building surveying expertise to solve practical challenges
✔ Stakeholder management – liaising with clients, consultants and operational teams
✔ Commercial control – monitoring budgets, variations and programme timelines
Ideal Candidate Profile:
✅ Construction professional with a Building Surveying background (MRICS preferred)✅ Proven refurbishment experience across commercial/residential developments
✅ Pragmatic problem-solver – able to make quick, effective decisions onsite
✅ Flexible approach – comfortable with significant field-based work (3 days onsite minimum)
✅ Strong contractor management skills and NEC contract knowledge
