DUTY SOLICITOR 2+ PQE, EAST SUSSEX, EXCELLENT SALARY & BENEFITS. Exciting opportunity to join an established firm, advising clients on a wide range of criminal matters across the East Sussex area. Job ref: 6019

The appointed Duty Solicitor will be dealing with a range of criminal matters at all stages of proceedings, and must demonstrate experience with the following:

• You will be expected to attend police stations and Magistrates’ Courts to advise and represent clients, preparing briefs to Counsel when necessary.

• You will manage your own caseload of criminal case files from start to finish, liaising directly with clients and make applications for Legal Aid, as well as ensuring compliance with the firm’s file management procedures, billing and costing files.
