EMPLOYMENT SOLICITOR – LOCUM, 3 + PQE, GREATER MANCHESTER, £34.14 PER HOUR. The appointed locum will be responsible for delivering expert legal advice, representation, and advocacy on behalf of Union members, as well as supporting colleagues and contributing to the creation and enhancement of training and legal resources. •You will manage claims and litigation, represent and advocate for members before tribunals, courts, and regulatory bodies, and provide legal advice to colleagues on teacher-related matters.
•The successful solicitor will assist in staff and member training, and prepare written documents, articles, and resources on legal matters.
•Applications are open to qualified Solicitors or Barristers with proven expertise in employment law, regulatory proceedings, and advocacy.
•The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in case management and litigation, as well as strong advocacy skills in appearances before courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies.
•The role provides a competitive salary, 35 days of annual leave (pro rata), and a blended working arrangement, typically involving 3–4 days in the office with the remaining days worked from home, depending on business requirements.
