THE ROLE:
You will manage a full caseload of Court of Protection (welfare) matters, providing clear legal advice, strong client care, and effective communication with vulnerable clients and stakeholders, while also supporting wider community care, housing, and public law work as required. This will include handling correspondence, negotiations and advocacy, as well as ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements. In addition, you will contribute to a growing and highly regarded Social Welfare team by maintaining accurate case management records, keeping up to date with legal developments, and assisting with supervision and administrative processes where appropriate.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are open to qualified solicitors or legal executives with at least one year’s experience in Court of Protection (welfare) law. The firm is seeking candidates with knowledge of Legal Aid funding and CCMS, with experience in privately funded work being desirable. Strong written, oral, and telephone communication skills are also essential.
THE PACKAGE:
The firm offers a competitive salary along with 25 days of holiday entitlement, which increases to 28 days after three years of service and 30 days after five years.
