JOB TITLE: Employment Solicitor
PQE: 5+
LOCATION: Berkshire
SALARY: £70-80,000 (DOE)
THE ROLE:
You will manage a varied and engaging caseload spanning both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising employer clients across a broad range of sectors. The role will involve handling Employment Tribunal claims, providing strategic and day-to-day employment advice, supporting the employment aspects of corporate transactions, and delivering client training where required.
The firm offers genuine opportunities for career progression, allowing you to take an active role in shaping your own development while contributing to business development initiatives and client relationship management. You will also work closely with the partners, playing a key role in supervising, mentoring, and developing junior members of the team.
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ PQE and a strong technical grounding in employment law, coupled with a genuine passion for the discipline. You will be ambitious, commercially minded, and committed to continually developing your expertise and legal skills. A client-focused approach is essential, with the ability to deliver pragmatic, commercially astute advice tailored to clients' specific needs. Experience in business development and a demonstrable track record of contributing to the growth of a practice would be highly beneficial.
THE FIRM:
The firm offers a highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support both your professional and personal wellbeing. Benefits include flexible working arrangements, private medical insurance, life assurance, and a performance-related bonus scheme. You will also have access to an employee assistance programme and benefit from 26 days’ annual leave in addition to bank holidays.
Further support is provided through funding for relevant professional qualifications and memberships, alongside enhanced maternity, adoption, and paternity leave provisions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm that is genuinely committed to investing in and rewarding its people.
