JOB TITLE: Employment Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 6+
LOCATION: West Yorkshire
SALARY: Up to £75,000 (DOE)
THE ROLE:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor or Partner to join an established and successful employment team. This is a key role for a Lawyer who enjoys both high quality technical work and developing strong client relationships. You will advise corporate clients and individuals across a broad range of employment matters, including complex discrimination and unfair dismissal claims, employment documentation, contracts, policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures. You will also handle employment tribunal matters from start to finish, including preparing pleadings, attending preliminary hearings, dealing with case management, preparing witness statements and trial bundles. The role will also involve advising on employment issues arising from corporate transactions, including share and asset sales and TUPE matters, working closely with colleagues across the wider firm. A significant part of the role will be focused on business development. You will have the opportunity to utilise your existing network and contacts, develop new relationships and actively contribute to the growth and profile of the employment team.
THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will be an experienced Employment Solicitor or Partner with strong technical knowledge and a proven ability to handle complex employment matters independently. You will be confident advising both businesses and individuals and have experience across contentious and non-contentious employment work. Strong tribunal experience will be important, alongside excellent drafting, communication and client management skills.
This role would suit an ambitious Senior Lawyer or existing Partner who is keen to develop a client following and play an active role in business development. You will be commercially minded, confident building relationships and comfortable networking and generating new opportunities.
