Job Description

PRIVATE CLIENT LAWYER, 8+ YEARS’ EXPERIENCE, LINCOLNSHIRE Toc£60,000 + Hybrid working and benefits

A senior opportunity to lead, develop and grow an established Wills & Probate Department, with potential progression to Director level.

An established Lincolnshire law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Private Client Lawyer to take a senior role within its Wills & Probate Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to do more than manage their own caseload, with responsibility for developing the team, growing the department and contributing to the future direction of the firm.

The Role

Manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including complex and high-value Wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, inheritance tax planning and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Take an active role in the day-to-day management and development of the department.

Supervise, mentor and support colleagues, helping to develop the team's technical expertise and standards of client care.

Oversee compliance, risk management and quality standards.

Build client relationships, develop referral networks and generate new business.

Work closely with the Directors on business planning, departmental growth and improving processes.

The Candidate

Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, CILEX Lawyers or highly experienced Paralegals with at least 8 years’ experience managing a varied private client caseload, including complex and high-value matters.

You will have strong technical expertise across Wills and Probate, together with experience of supervising or mentoring colleagues. Commercial awareness, sound judgement and a genuine interest in business development are essential, as is the ambition to take ownership of a department and help drive its future success.

The Opportunity

This is a senior position offering considerable autonomy and the chance to make a real impact on the development of an established private client practice. For the right individual, there is genuine potential for accelerated progression to Director level.

A salary of £60,000+ dependent on experience and the value you can bring to the department is on offer, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including generous annual leave, flexible and hybrid working and bonus
