We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global technology company that designs and develops high-precision tracking and imaging systems used across film production, elite sports, robotics, engineering, and advanced scientific research.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Hardware Design Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team in Oxford, working on innovative products that sit at the cutting edge of electronics and sensing technologies.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of complex electronic hardware used in high-performance camera and tracking systems, calibration devices, synchronisation modules, and networking equipment, working closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers across the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-speed digital and mixed-signal hardware
• Contribute to system architecture and product design from concept through to manufacture
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Ensure designs meet required standards for testability, reliability, and regulatory compliance
• Support prototyping, verification, validation, and production activities

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in high-speed digital electronics design
• Working knowledge of analogue circuit design
• Experience designing for manufacture with strong focus on DFM/DFT
• Degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
• Confident communicator who works well within collaborative engineering teams
• Experience with VHDL and FPGA development
• Knowledge of image sensors, optics, lithium-ion battery systems
• Exposure to Ethernet-based systems and RF design
