Job Description

Pertemps are delighted to be working with a well-known Professional Services organisation who have a requirement for a Compliance Administrator to join the team based in Glasgow.  This role is crucial to the business in providing an overview to the leadership team to ensure that the businesses risk management, governance and control processes are operating effectively.
This role is paying a salary of up to £30k depending on experience.
Main duties include:
  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices and documentation
  • Completes audits in line with SLA’s
  • Complete audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings
  • Maintains internal control systems by updating audit programs, management systems(s) recommending new policies and procedures
  • Communicates audit findings by preparing a final report, summarising trends, discussing findings with the various committees/Partners
  • Main point of contact for external audits
  • Collation and distribution of external audit results
  • Attend meetings, as required, to develop an understanding of business processes
  • Travelling to different offices to meet relevant staff and obtain documents and information
  • Providing ad hoc advice and guidance to managers and staff at all levels, which can take the form of presentations/ training sessions
  • Anticipating emerging issues through research
  • Agreeing recommendations with relevant staff/partners/committees to make improvements to operations/audit results
  • Performing risk assessments on key business activities and using this information to guide what should be covered in audits
  • Preparing reports to highlight issues and problems and distributing the reports to the relevant people
  • Assess and report on effectiveness of management systems relevant to ISO standard
  • Assessing how well the business is complying to rules and regulations and informing management of any issues that need addressing
  • Managing a variety of departmental stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications
Skills required:
  • ISO Quality & Environmental standards
  • Anti Money Laundering (AML)
  • Awareness of the importance of accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team
  • The ability to think objectively and demonstrate sound judgement
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
