Claims Handler – Casualty | Glasgow | Hybrid Working

Are you a Claims Handler with experience or knowledge in Casualty Claims? Are you passionate about delivering excellent service in a global, supportive, and high-performing environment?

Our client, a leading multinational insurance company, operating in over 50 countries, is looking for a Claims Handler to join their Glasgow-based team. What You'll Do

  • Manage a caseload of up to 350 claims, including:
  • Employer’s Liability
  • Product Liability
  • A small volume of motor claims
  • Assess liability and claim value (quantum) up to £25,000
  • Negotiate settlements with policyholders and brokers
  • Provide a professional, customer-focused claims service
  • Attend review meetings and collaborate with internal teams
  • Identify complaints and handle them effectively or escalate as needed
  • Support internal processes such as audits and account reviews

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience handling insurance claims (casualty experience is a plus)
  • Background in financial services or insurance is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems
  • Experience in a commercial insurance claims environment is advantageous
