Location: Giffnock
Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-time Permanent
Working Pattern: Fully Office Based
 

Pertemps are exclusively recruiting for a well established accountancy practice based in Giffnock is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Executive to join its payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with previous accountancy practice or payroll bureau experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced client-focused environment.


The Role

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of payroll clients across a variety of sectors, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and on time while maintaining excellent client relationships.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients
    • Managing payroll queries and providing support to clients
    • Processing starters, leavers, pensions and statutory payments
    • Submitting RTI returns and ensuring HMRC compliance
    • Administering auto-enrolment pension schemes
    • Maintaining accurate payroll records and reports
    • Liaising with HMRC and pension providers where required
    • Supporting the wider practice team with payroll-related matters 
 

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau environment is essential
    • Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll and Xero Payroll
    • Excellent understanding of payroll legislation and HMRC processes
    • Experience managing multiple payrolls simultaneously
    • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
    • Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
    • CIS experience would be advantageous but is not essential
