Customer Service Advisor
Location: Ayrshire
Salary: up to £27k
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Are you a confident communicator who enjoys helping people and making a real difference to customers?

We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join a growing team based in Ayrshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, contact centre or a similar environment who is looking for a stable, permanent position with excellent training and development opportunities.

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be responsible for providing a high level of support to customers, handling a variety of enquiries and helping customers.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Handling customer enquiries by telephone and other communication channels.
    • Providing clear, professional and empathetic support to customers.
    • Understanding individual customer circumstances and identifying appropriate solutions.
    • Dealing confidently with queries, concerns and potentially sensitive conversations.
    • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records.
    • Working towards agreed quality and performance standards.
    • Following company processes and ensuring all customer interactions are handled appropriately.
    • Liaising with internal teams where required to resolve customer queries.
    • Managing a varied workload while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
We are looking for someone who is confident, resilient and customer-focused, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.

Previous experience within customer service, retail, hospitality, administration, call handling or a contact centre environment would be beneficial, although full training will be provided.

You will ideally have:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • A professional and approachable telephone manner.
    • Strong listening and questioning skills.
    • The ability to remain calm and empathetic when dealing with challenging conversations.
    • Good attention to detail and accurate administration skills.
    • The ability to work towards targets and performance measures.
    • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
    • The confidence to handle sensitive or vulnerable customer situations appropriately.
