Job Description

We are currently recruiting talented Inspection Warehouse Operatives to join our team at the IBF site in Sevington, Ashford. Full-time on-going work Monday-Friday rota, both 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 available. Rates of pay from £13.45 up to £22.20 overtime rate. 

Key responsibilities will include: 
Responsible for the day-to-day operational functionality and performance of the inspection operations from off-load from trailers to presentation for inspection and reload on to trailers. 
  • Loading and unloading lorries including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE
    • Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested 
    • Take instruction from our on-site partners to support the inspection process
    • Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training
    • Carry out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives 
    • Maintain the inspection environment following training
    • COSHH Awareness following training
    • Assist drivers locating bays, support drivers in direction to bays and offices
    • Champion a health and safety culture
 
The ideal candidate will have: 
  • Logistics experience in a large fast-moving environment 
  • Strong warehouse system experience 
  • A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work 
  • Experience of working to agreed targets 
  • Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook  
  • Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading 
Conditions: 
  • Shift patterns will be Monday to Friday 
  • Weekly or monthly pay available 
  • Day shift £13.45ph 
  • Night shift £14.80ph 
  • Overtime paid at time and a half  
 
To be eligible you need: 
  • NO unspent convictions and be able to pass a basic Criminal Record Check/Disclosure (DBS check) 
  • Ability to provide 3 years referencing contacts and have been resident in the UK for the last 5 years.
