Hours: Mon–Fri, 36 hours per week
Rate of Pay: £14.02 per hour

We are seeking a friendly and organised Reception Admin to support the smooth running of our busy Taxi Examination Centre in the West of Edinburgh. This is a front-of-house role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a professional and welcoming manner, and is confident carrying out a range of administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Acting as the first point of contact, welcoming visitors and managing the reception area
- Issuing paperwork and documentation for vehicle inspections and MOTs
- Processing licences and permits for vehicles
- Checking customer ID, scanning, and filing documents accurately
- Answering general enquiries in person and over the phone (note: guidance on test content cannot be provided)
- Using office equipment and computer systems for day-to-day admin tasks
- Managing appointments, queues, and ensuring an organised office environment
- Supporting customers with clear communication, including those with limited English
- Handling situations calmly and professionally, including de-escalating any issues if required

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience in a reception or administrative role preferred
- Confident with basic IT systems, scanners, and printers
