Apprenticeship Skills Coach

Pertemps Work Based Learning are currently working in partnership alongside a fantastic training provider who deliver apprenticeship programmes within Financial Services and due to a period of growth they are now looking to bring on an Apprenticeship Skills Coach/Assessor.

Working alongside the delivery team, the Assessor/Skills Coach with work directly with learners in order to guide them towards End Point Assessment. The role is purely remote, so all engagement with learners with be via Teams.

• £31000 - £34,000

• 24 Days + Bank Holidays rising to 27 days

Duties and Responsibilities of the Apprenticeship Skills Coach

• Build relationships with learners, in order to support their progression through to End Point Assessment.
• Work in collaboration with the tutor.
• Set, mark and assess work produced by learners to ensure it is of the appropriate standard to reflect the learner's qualification and meet the needs of the qualification.
• Proactively monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality and effectiveness of own workload and working practices to ensure deadlines and targets are met and that the learner has an outstanding experience.
• Manage own diary, ensuring regular contact with the learners.
• Keep up to date with quality frameworks, policies, and procedures. Conducting all assessment practice to the highest standards.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications for the Apprenticeship Assessor

• Assessor’s Award (A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent)
• Experience in assessing, and knowledge of the End Point Assessment criteria.
• Excellent IT Skills and proficiency in using E-Portfolio's and Online Learning and Assessment platforms.
• Experience assessing apprenticeship learners to level 4, ideally within Professional service apprenticeship qualifications e.g Business Administration, Leadership and Management
• Experience in using Microsoft Teams, Zoom is essential
• An enthusiastic, engaging personality in order to help motivate learners.
