Headteacher - SEN Provision
Deputy Headteacher
AP (Alternative Provision)
September Start
Long Term or Permanent
Ipswich - Suffolk

I am thrilled to be representing a small independent school registered for 6 pupils that offers extremely bespoke and individual therapeutic packages of education for children aged 9-16 years. The school offers placements to children that are unable to achieve in mainstream settings.

The School is a SEN provision that caters for SEMH, EBD, BESD and ASC along with other conditions. Every young person at this school has had difficulty engaging in mainstream education.

We are looking for a Senior Teacher with QTS that has extensive SEN and SEMH experience that is able to deliver cross curricular education up to KS3.

The role will provide bespoke and individualised packages of education that are in line with Independent School Regulations and Educational statements of each learner.

As well as Leadership duties such as Staff management, arranging and attending PEPs and designing innovative packages of education for pupils, the successful postholder will have planning, teaching and classroom responsibilities. You will also set targets for raising achievement amongst SEN pupils and enhance teaching and learning, apply outcomes and identify impact.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) or SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) specialist who is a strong leader, extremely driven and passionate about SEN.

The role would suit a current Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher or Head of Year that is looking for an all encompassing role within an Independent School where there is a real opportunity to make a difference to young people's lives.

Experience of dealing with challenging behaviour, Autism Spectrum and school refusers is a must.

If you have experience and a passion for teaching young people with SEMH needs, please do get in touch with Kat Lyons you can call on 01245 392580 or email kat.lyons@ednetwork.co.uk
