HGV Class 1 Driver (Night Shunter) – Robertsbridge, East Sussex

£15.50 per hour | 55 hours per week | 5pm–5am | Monday–Friday | Temp to Perm Opportunity

A well‑known logistics company in Robertsbridge is looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join their night‑shift team in a dedicated shunting position. This role is ideal for a reliable Class 1 driver who enjoys structured night work, consistent hours, and operating within a busy yard environment. You’ll be moving trailers on site, supporting smooth overnight operations, and working with a modern fleet.

The Role

Monday to Friday – no weekend work
Night shift: 5pm–5am, averaging 55 hours per week
Primarily yard shunting
Opportunity for temp to perm for the right candidate
Working within a respected national logistics network

Pay & Benefits

£15.50 per hour
Weekly pay
Consistent, ongoing work
Supportive transport team and well‑maintained vehicles

Requirements

Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
Held licence for at least 2 years
Minimum 180 days’ experience driving a CE vehicle within that period
In‑date CPC & Digital Tacho
Access to your own vehicle due to rural location
Professional attitude and good communication skills
