HGV Class 2 Driver
We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client based in Paddock Wood, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional Category C Driver who is happy to take on hands-on yard duties alongside driving responsibilities.
Location: Paddock Wood, Kent
Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday | 08:00 – 17:00 | No weekends
Contract: Ongoing temporary work with the potential for a temp-to-perm opportunity
The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for operating a Class 2 / Category C vehicle for local deliveries and collections across the region. This role would suit an experienced LGV Class 2 Driver, Cat C Driver, or Rigid Driver who enjoys a varied role combining driving and yard-based duties.

The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for operating a Class 2 / Category C vehicle for local deliveries and collections across the region. This role would suit an experienced LGV Class 2 Driver, Cat C Driver, or Rigid Driver who enjoys a varied role combining driving and yard-based duties.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out local deliveries and collections as a Delivery Driver Class 2
- Completing multi-drop deliveries when required
- Assisting in the yard during quieter driving periods
- Moving pallets safely and efficiently around the yard
- Supporting loading and unloading activities
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and ensuring full compliance with road safety regulations
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience as a HGV Driver, LGV Driver, HGV Class 2 Driver
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to assist with yard duties
- Good knowledge of driver compliance and road transport regulations
