Customer Sales Advisor – Self Storage Facility
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Type: Full-time, 12-Month Fixed-Term Maternity Cover (with view to becoming permanent)
Hours: Monday–Friday: 8am–6pm | Saturday: 8am–4pm | Sunday: 10am–4pm
(Working 1 in every 3 weekends)
Salary: £26,265
Start Date: ASAP

Pertemps are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a proactive and customer-focused Customer Sales Advisor to join a busy and well-established self-storage facility in Hemel Hempstead. This is a 12-month maternity cover contract with the potential to become permanent if the role remains available.

You’ll be the friendly face of the store, supporting customers with their storage needs, handling sales enquiries, and ensuring the site is safe, clean, and welcoming. This is a varied role ideal for someone who enjoys delivering excellent service and is confident working independently or as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers in person, over the phone, and via email to handle enquiries and convert them into sales

  • Support customers throughout their journey – from move-in to move-out

  • Ensure the store is clean, secure, and well-presented at all times

  • Process payments, manage customer accounts, and assist with debt management procedures

  • Monitor stock levels and help maintain appropriate storage inventory

  • Contribute to local marketing initiatives and promotions

  • Support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations when required

Who We’re Looking For
  • Strong communication and people skills

  • A natural problem-solver with a friendly and approachable manner

  • Able to work confidently both independently and as part of a team

  • Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience is essential (experience in storage or a similar environment is a bonus)

  • Comfortable using computers and handling administrative tasks

  • Flexible and willing to occasionally step into additional responsibilities as needed
